Your processor must support the Virtualization, if you want to install and run any OS by using VMware or some other virtualization software.
Checking Virtualization on Intel Processors : If you are having a computer with Intel processor equipped in it, then you can install the Intel Processor Identification / Compatibility Checking Program to check whether your Intel processor supports virtualization or not. Now run that and accept the EULA. You will come to know about your processor inner details thereafter.
You can particularly look for the virtualization support in the results page of the Intel Virtualization Technology support.
Checking Virtualization on AMD Processor : Well, If you do have a computer system with AMD processor equipped in it, then you can choose to install the AMD VT Identification / Compatibility Checking Program to check whether your system supports the virtualization or not.
Rest Processors: If you do have the computer system with some other processor equipped in it, then install the Microsoft Hardware Virtualization Detection Program. Microsoft Hardware Virtualization Detection Program is a nice virtualization detection utility which also works with AMD and Intel processors. you will have to run the utility and the results come in front of you.
If hardware virtualization is supported by your processor and enabled in BIOS, then this below message would be displayed,
